Working with Parents
As you’ll be aware, it can be a real challenge to sustain motivation and focus in students once they have left school grounds. In reality, the students are only with us for a short period of time, and so closing the attainment gap can oftentimes seem an impossible task.
That is why we do everything within our power to engage and interact with the parents of the students we are working with. We know that parents have a huge influence on their children, however it’s often the case that parents themselves fail to see the significance of their relationships and behaviours.
Therefore, if we can win the parents over and create a positive feedback loop between students, teachers, parents, and ourselves, then the battle is halfway won!
Below are ways we will work and communicate with the parents:
